Livestock Marketing Options

Deacon Livestock Services offers the producer a number of specialised marketing and selling options. We proudly represent and are supported by B.R. & C Agents of Swan Hill and Ouyen and actively service clients and customers in the North Western corner of Victoria and lower western division of New South Wales.

Auction Plus

Is an electronic selling system for livestock that offers national competition, allowing buyers to log into and participate in the live sale, anywhere in Australia.

Auctions Plus includes an on property assessment by one of our qualified livestock assessors. Stock do not have to leave the property and producers can place a reserve on their stock to ensure a fair price. This method is suitable for all types of livestock.

How you benefit
• Your livestock are exposed to a national gallery of buyers, maximising competition.
• You can participate in the regular weekly sheep and cattle sales, as well as "special sales" each week.
• When stock are listed, you – the producer / owner can set a reserve price.
• When stock are sold, the price is ‘on property’, with the purchaser paying freight.
• You receive accurate feedback information from the live assessment as well as kill sheet information for slaughter stock.

Auction

Regular prime sheep and lamb sales at Ouyen saleyards. Prime and store cattle and sheep sales at the Swan Hill saleyard complex. Both of these saleyards attract extensive competition. Our qualified staff will draft customers' stock to market requirements to maximise potential returns. Experienced and recognized auctioneers will work to optimize buyer support to obtain the best possible money on the day.

Private Treaty

Private treaty is a tried and proven marketing option, matching buyers with sellers in the paddock, reducing the need for additional handling of stock, keeping the system simple, but backed by the professionalism and security of our network.
